A Commissioner's Guide to Redistricting in Virginia

In November 2020, Virginians voted overwhelmingly to put congressional and state legislative redistricting in the hands of an independent citizens' commission. The Princeton Gerrymandering Project, wrote a report on next steps in Virginia. The report covers redistricting law, best practices for mapmaking, lessons from past independent commissions, and more. It is intended to guide the work of the first commission.
